Superfast Northamptonshire Open Market Review 2019

Closed 19 Jul 2019

Opened 14 Jun 2019

Results Updated 30 Jul 2019

The results of the Open Market Review (OMR) will assist the County Council with understanding the broadband infrastructure (Next Generation Access (NGA)) already in place and where there are commercial plans for investment in such infrastructure in the coming three years to end July 2022. This will inform the next steps for the Superfast Northamptonshire project, including change requests to extend existing contracts and help enable the County Council to identify and target other opportunities for further coverage through new government initiatives. It will also support a significant update of the Superfast Northamptonshire When and Where map to provide more robust information on broadband coverage in the county to members of the public and local businesses.

Overview

The County Council is inviting telecoms providers to participate in an Open Market Review to ensure that the most up to date information on existing and planned broadband commercial coverage in the county can be taken into account.  This is important as the County Council considers new opportunities to extend superfast and gigabit capable broadband infrastructure in the county.  For more information, please visit our Telecoms Opportunities page.
